The Cerberus Solo Base Design 2022 Solo Base Designs

By putting up doorway entries with code locks through the entire base, it makes it more difficult for anyone to move through the base. This dramatically reduces the chances of people interacting with a base overall. Click here to submit a new base design to the basefinder.

Base Maintenance Cost

For our starter, we’re going to go for simple and cheap. We’ll start with these foundations and a raised one for the TC. A half-wall on the door side and two full walls for the TC triangle. This combination here will make sense later on when we build this into the main loop.

You have wide gap peeks, free hand peeks, and even breach peeks, which are shooting spots you can use if someone took down your walls and is trying to get into the base from the side. The main loot room being located below the shooting floor makes it very hard to access, especially because of the breach peeks mentioned before. The base also features a ‘mini china wall’ which adds another layer of security inside of the compound by providing plenty of angles and 360 degree cover from auto turrets.

Putting Together a RUST Base Design Strategy

Once you acquire the resources, replace the workbench with a tier 2, then start swapping out garage doors starting from the core outward. Three ankle-bitter roof-peeks give you numerous angles to fight players that might be on top of your base. These ladder hatches provide quick access to the inner peek-down corridor. And that’s not to mention if raiders find themselves in any major part of the base, they’ll have to deal with numerous auto-turrets.

It will provide ample protection and teach you modern Rust base building techniques like a suicide bunker, external TCs, and how to make a good shooting floor. On the roof, enemies are greeted by 360 degree cover from auto-turrets. The original base design does not feature SAM sites, Windmills, Batteries and a heli-pad. Another base design for solo or duo players that has a decent cost to build.

This cost can be calculated by adding up the total sum of resources (e.g. wood, stones, metal fragments, high quality metal) and the components (e.g. Rope, Metal Springs, Gears, etc) that will be needed. It can also be used as a measuring device to determine the type of base being built. Furthermore, it’s used as a factor in determining whether or not a player should attempt building the specific base design or when they should attempt to try and build it. The roof allows for four windmills and two SAM sites.

Base Loot Rooms

In this guide, I am going to list 15 of the most popular and well-designed Rust bases. It's up to you, it's very useful but not practical for living there. Does it get destroyedby other people even in the early game? If that's true you should be ashamed of yourself, but you came to the right place.

Roof Bunker (Fixed)

The location of a base will have a substantial impact on its overall security, and since bases can’t be picked up and moved, this is the first thing to decide on. On the roof, the base is equipped with a 360-degree cover to protect the helipad. The design does not include SAM sites, but I recommend you go ahead and add at least two on opposite sides. The base can support 4 windmills, which should be enough for all of your electric needs.

For now, we just want to make sure that we can seal ourselves off. Above the half wall, we can add a frame which will be our entrance for now. When placing shelves, crates, and large boxes, it’s important to consider the splash damage that will occur from explosives blowing up the outer walls. All loot containers should be placed on the innermost walls so that when a wall is blown into, the loot is not destroyed immediately.

I tend to use sleeping bags or beach towels here, but some people like to put beds here instead, which works fine if you don’t mind jumping around them. The best spot for the level three in this base is right here. Now another option that I tend to use is adding a single locker into the triangle.

Getting your external structures established early means you can also start refining resources with large furnaces to expedite completing the base. Regardless of whichever you do, the windmill will go on top of the base, in the center triangle. Simply build a couple of temporary twig floors, place the windmill and then remove the twig.

This will also be sheet metal in the end, which makes it even stronger. So you can use this idea if you want; it all comes down to what you need. As far as our main loot, well, it’s time to upgrade some things.

Secondly, the roof is the main weakness of this base. While you have a mini helicopter landing pad and garage, you don’t have enough space at all. At most, you can place one windmill or four solar panels to power the base. You also don’t have auto turrets defending the roof, so a cheeky player can ladder up and steal the heli, which you also stole; this is due to the lack of roof tiles.

It has a mini-copter landing pad and hanger, SAM site, roof battlements, enclosed 360 degree defense level, and more. Like in the base I mentioned before, you don't need to upgrade everything, but if you are going to do that it will cost you 586 HQM, metal fragments, stone, and wood, with very high upkeep. It takes 6000 metal fragments, stone, and 3500 wood. Of course only if you want to apply all-metal upgrades to the base. The upkeep is not that high and it's a useful base for any kind of playthrough.

There’s a lot of cool stuff you can add up here too, and it’s very customizable. First, we’ll add in three full loot rooms, the first one over here and the other two in these squares. As you can see, they are separated, which will increase the raid cost overall.

And voila, with this structure plan you should have a powerful functional base that can easily counter all, but the most experienced and persistent raider. In order to obtain resources players must search for either resource nodes or collect items that can be dismantled. Stone nodes appear as small boulders that can be seen apart from the larger rock structures.
